A PAGES file is a document created by Apple Pages, a word processor and page layout program for macOS and iOS. It is used to save a document, such as a report, poster, resume, newsletter, book, certificate, or brochure that was created from a blank page or built from a template. By accident today I stumbled upon something: It might, apparently, (in my case anyway), depend on the path you choose to get to those file. If I attempt to get to a file by first opening Pages and then clicking Open, I see a list of Pages document files, many of which are grayed out (usually those which have been copied and pasted). If you do not have Microsoft Word you can go to the start menu and select NotePad; which again will load up a blank page for you to type on the print. If you are using a Mac you can still use Microsoft Word if it is installed or text edit if it is not. Text edit can be found in the applications section. Thanked the writer.
